The Well of Time is an immersive exploration journey through Iceland's history. Your guide is Sú Vitra, a character based on local troll legends designed by illustrator Brian Pilkington. She is older than the human imagination can fathom and symbolizes the wisdom and enchantment of Iceland. She'll guide you using video, imagery, music, and sound, and the forces of nature come to life.
There are three different acts she'll guide you through:
1. You'll feel the power of the land. Nature often shows how strong and violent it can be.
2. The arrival of man to the land and an introduction of "Þetta Reddast"; Life continues, no matter what.
3. Learn how the Icelandic people made life on this rough island.

In harmony with nature
Our aim at Hvammsvik Hot Springs is to give our guests an authentic Icelandic nature experience. The area is rich in local wildlife, with over 30 different types of birds that reside in and around Hvammsvik. Wild sheep roam around in the summer and if lucky you might spot an Arctic Fox. Quite a few elves are said to reside in the rocks and hills of the nature resort!
Hvammsvík has its share of spectacular northern lights. Best time to witness the aurora borealis
is from October through April.

Hvammsvík is a historical landmark that was first discovered by the Vikings 1000 years ago as recorded in Landnáma, the Icelandic book of settlers dating back to the 11th century. No wonder they chose Hvammsvík given its incredible landscape, natural harbor, geothermal heat and wildlife.

Join our highly enthusiastic and experienced team in the search for whales, dolphins and birds of Faxaflói bay
You’ll get the history of Iceland in a nutshell as well as recommendations on restaurants, bars and museums. The idea is to lay the foundation for the ideal trip to Iceland or to wrap up a journey of a lifetime with answers to the questions that have arisen during your stay. By the end of the walk, you’ll have a local friend and you’ve felt like you’ve seen the city in a different light.
On average we have 6-8 people per tour. We sell up to twelve slots on the VIP tour, but occasionally due to re-schedules or extra children the group it can expand. On the other hand, we reserve the right to cancel the tour if a minimum number of passengers on the tour isn’t reached. In such case, you will be notified with at least 24 hr notice.
Optional Extras
Upon finishing the walking tour, we offer the option to drop you off at one of our favourite restaurants in downtown with an included meal. The restaurants are offering us a small discount in exchange for the traffic and we offer you the same discount. To earn the discount you must book the extra beforehand. The possible options are detailed in a tab further below.

1. The Famous Icelandic Hot dog, includes gluten. Choose from toppings: ketchup, may, mustard, onions
2. Vegan meal, soup & Dahl. Our friends grow everything locally
3. Lamb Soup. The traditional iceland Lamb soup has been keeping us warm for generations
4. Panfried Arctic Charr or Salmon, may contain nuts. Only available on weekdays for lunch.
5. The Controversial plate. All legal in Iceland but not commonly eaten. Including a sample of Horse Carpaccio, Smoked Puffin, lightly grilled Minke Whale and Cured Arctic Charr. Small portions of each, but one platter can be shared with two persons.
The Wonders of Iceland in Perlan, Reykjavík offers visitors an access ticket to an array of captivating exhibits and experiences. Among these is the Ice Cave, which is made up of over 350 tons of snow and stretches 100 meters in length.
