You will meet your guide at the dedicated Troll base minutes from the glacier with free parking available, where you must arrive 20 minutes prior to departure to meet your certified English-speaking guide and get equipped. All essential gear is provided, including a helmet, harness, crampons (for walking on ice), and an ice axe.
After a short 15-minute ride and a 15-minute walk, you will arrive at the ice edge. Your guide will provide a crucial safety briefing and demonstration of how to walk on the ice. Additionally, the tour includes hiking to explore other dramatic features like deep crevasses, vertical moulins (ice tunnels), and unique sculpted ice formations, immersing you fully in this dramatic, film-featured landscape.
